Cyber Resilience Package
Through our partnership with AUSCERT, the Cyber Resilience Package combines Tabletop Exercises (TTX) and Cyber Incident Response Plan (CIRP) development/review to enhance cyber readiness through scenario-driven simulations and tailored response planning.
Key features include:
- Tabletop exercises (TTX) to test decision-making and response strategies
- Interactive simulations based on real-world cyber threats
- Development and optimisation of tailored incident response plans
- Detailed post-exercise reports with actionable insights
- Receive a certificate upon completing a TTX exercise
- Development and optimisation of tailored incident response plans with an option for review.
Strengthen your school’s cyber resilience with a proactive, tested, and refined approach to incident response.
How It Works
- Choose Your Scenario: Select a predefined exercise or request a custom-designed simulation.
- Facilitated Discussion: AUSCERT cybersecurity specialists will guide your team through the exercise, offering expert insights and feedback.
- After-Action Report (AAR): Receive a comprehensive report outlining observations, recommendations, and key takeaways to strengthen your cyber response strategy. This will also include a follow-up meeting with the facilitators to run through it.
Exercise Delivery & Duration
- Format: Available in person or online
- Session Length: For all predefined exercises, the facilitated tabletop discussion exercise typically runs between 60–90 minutes depending on the scenario chosen
- After-Action Report (AAR): A detailed report will be provided within 7 business days, summarising findings, insights, and recommended next steps. Once you have had some time to read the report, we will schedule a meeting with the facilitators to discuss it further.
Why Participate in a Tabletop Exercise?
- Enhance Cyber Resilience – Strengthen your school’s ability to respond to cyber incidents in a controlled environment
- Improve Decision-Making – Identify vulnerabilities, streamline response strategies, and improve coordination across teams
- Ensure Compliance & Best Practices – Align your cybersecurity response with industry regulations and recommended standards
- Capture Key Lessons – Use the After-Action Report to refine policies, response protocols, and training initiatives.
Why Develop/Review a Cyber Incident Response Plan?
- Strengthen Cyber Resilience – Ensure your school can respond swiftly and recover effectively from cyber incidents
- Customised Response Strategies – Develop a bespoke CIRP tailored to your school needs, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder communication
- Optimise Existing Plans – Identify gaps, streamline escalation paths, and enhance coordination through comprehensive CIRP reviews
- Validate Effectiveness – Test your response plan with tabletop exercises and simulations to ensure readiness for real-world cyber threats.

What is a Cyber Incident Response Plan (CIRP)? A Cyber Incident Response Plan (CIRP) is a structured guide outlining the steps a school should take before, during, and after a cyber incident. It includes detection, response, recovery, and mitigation strategies to ensure a quick and effective resolution. |
What is a Tabletop Exercise (TTX)? A Tabletop Exercise (TTX) is a scenario-based discussion where team members collaboratively navigate a simulated cyber incident. It helps assess response strategies, decision-making, and coordination in a low-risk environment. |
