Study Fresh
Study Fresh aims to increase productivity in Queensland schools through ensuring the healthiest possible learning environment. To do this, participants will build their own indoor air quality (IAQ) sensors to monitor the air quality in their classrooms and learn ways through which they can improve it. The workshop fits within schools’ Digital Technologies curriculums and can be implemented in the classroom for year 6 and up.
What you will learn
This course is delivered in an engaging and informative manner using a variety of learning tools including hands-on programming, videos, and small and large group discussions.
How to build indoor air quality (IAQ) sensors.
Monitoring techniques for assessing air quality in classrooms.
Strategies to improve indoor air quality.
Hands-on introduction to simple programming in Python.
Understanding the impact of ventilation on cognitive performance.
Strategies for negotiating and implementing better air quality.
Visualisation of big data sets.

You will receive a certificate of course completion, access to all tools, websites and software used during the PD for teachers and students in the Education QLD Digital Technologies Curriculum and copy of teaching resources.
